December 1 at 7p,-Parent Committee meeting at 7581 Dartmouth Ave., Rancho Cucamonga, CA
December 15 at 6:30pm-Walk through the lights at Thoroughbred. Directions will be e-mailed out about a week before the event.
Coming up: January Camping trip at Yucaipa Regional Park on Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend. This is a Friday-Sunday camping trip.

Rockets were a Blast!

On November 14th, many of our boys headed out to Lucerne Valley to launch model rockets. The boys had a lot of fun building their rockets, and better yet, blasting them up into the air! It was a beautiful day with great flying conditions.

Next Pack Meeting

Welcome Back Scouts! Our next pack meeting is Tuesday, Sept 15, 2009 at 6:30pm. It will be held at Dona Merced Elementary School-10333 Palo Alto St., Rancho Cucamonga. Please note this is a new location, date and time, for our pack meetings. Pack meetings will now be the THIRD Tuesday of every month. See you then!!

Raingutter Regatta

The boys had a lot of fun blowing their ships down the raingutter. Aaron, Joshua H and newcomer Nicholas E had the fastest ships. Congrats to all that participated.

Camping at Lake Morena

On May 8-10, three families headed out on a 3 hour drive to Lake Morena. It was a beautiful camp site that Mr. Ducharme hooked us up with! The three boys had a lot of fun climbing rocks, chasing lizards, meditating and trying to fish. We also took a ten minute drive out to the Campo Railway Museum. The dad's treated the one mom (me) who came to a wonderful pancake breakfast for Mother's Day and the boys did the dishes! It was a lot of fun and worth the drive!

BLUE AND GOLD DINNER

Saturday, March 28th is our annual Blue and Gold Dinner. This is the biggest award ceremony of the year, so you will want to be sure to invite the grandparents and other family members. It will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ontario at 4pm. The cost is $7 per non-scout. Please get your head counts to your leaders by March 23 so we have time to order enough food. Anyone who wants to help set up, we will be starting at 3pm. Leaders, please have at least 1 person from your den, in addition to yourself to help with set-up and one family for clean up. With everyone's help we will have another successful event!

Pine Wood Derby

The boys had a lot of fun at the Pinewood Derby. The cars were creative and fast this year. Congratulations to Joshua Herrmann for having the fastest car this year. We can hardly wait till the Space Derby at the end of this month to see how creative the kids are with their rockets.
