Abracadabra

Last night was our April Pack meeting. The theme was abracadabra. We were lucky to get a real magicain. The magician performed his "show" and then taught the boys some tricks they could do on their own.

Tonight is Pack Meeting the Theme is Abracadabra....We have a REAL magician coming!

Conservation Project

On April 26th the Wolf Den, Bear Den and Tiger Den are going to participate in the San Gabriel Canyon Watershed Restoration Project. This is a great opportunity for the cubs to help their community and also earn community service hours. We are meeting at the site (San Gabriel Canyon Environmental Education Center, across the street from the Rincon Fire Station - UP AZUSA CANYON).

Directions: Take the 210 FWY to Highway 39 (Azusa). The Environmental Education Center is about 10 miles up Highway 39.

We are meeting at 8:00am. We will be volunteering for about 1 to 2 hours.

Bring:
Work or Garden Gloves
Lunch and Water
Wear Sturdy Shoes

After the Conservation Project we are driving a mile up the Highway to the West Fork River to Fish. The boys will be earning the Fishing Beltloop. All Cubs are welcome to join us. (Bring Fishing Equipment!)

April Parent Comittee Meeting Minutes

UPCOMING PACK MEETINGS
-April 22 at ALE. Theme: Abracadabra. Come see a real magician!
-May 23-25 Camping at Holcomb Valley Family Scout Camp. Sign-ups will be at the April Pack Meeting. Registration is $30 per person. Food cost TBD.
FINANCIAL UPDATE
-Larry discussed the amount that the pack spent on the Blue and Gold Dinner.
FUNDRAISER UPDATE
-Sandra to look into Bakers coupon books instead of Carl's Jr. We hope to get the find raiser up by the April Pack Meeting.
-Will look into doing a car wash in the summer.
DEN UPDATES
-Tigers had a good month. They have 2 potential recruits.
-Wolves will be doing a service project in Azusa Canyon on April 26. Any other dens may join. Contact Shane or Jessica
-Bears have not been able to meet. Shane will contact Dan about having the bears meet with the wolves to help them get achievements by the end of the year.
-1st year Webelos were not present
_2nd year Webelos had a successful bridging over to BS Troop 652. This puts our Pack scout camp at 15.
OPEN FORUM
-Pack blog address should be listed on the Newsletter
-Larry will make a photo release to present at next pack meeting for pictures to be uploaded onto the blog
-Recruiting: Cathy will call council to get fliers out to Redeemer and ALE. She will also find out when the ALE open house is to have a table of information at.
-Round Table Meetings are the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7pm. Location: 701 E. Rosewood Ct., Ontario
